The Embrace

The Embrace

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Love in all the wrong places??

"

We arrived at the

party

but we were not late

just fashionable

Start at the bar

having some drinks

Then mingle,

observe like a star

The night grows late

As I search for my mate

Since it is so late,

Ah, then I spy her

She's in an embrace

held tight,

In the dark of the night

he's holding her face

As I step forward

To end this embrace

She puts up her hand

To stop his fate

Saying:

Hi Hon, meet my brother Nate

Photography and words are my activities to try and keep an over active mind under control. For the most part my pieces have been short since that's how I'm wired. I would like to write something longe.. more..
