Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Sleepless

"

Sitting alone with my thoughts,

Hoping one will slow

as it passes.

So I can grab hold,

seeing where it takes me,

on another adventure ride.

As this solitude of time expands,

the darkness is near.

Searching for that single

thought I did not know or hear.

As it  passes by my receptors,

in the hallways and compartments,

my mind grabs on.

Captured thoughts of the past,

one of the future too,

melted together to view.

Future unknown,

past errors in thought.

I know  the answer is clear.

My mind alive

as long as I plan my life.

Remember, in the blink of an eye,

the roll of the dice.

It's all over till the next night

Play with a thought and wrote this months ago and now feel it can be viewed. I think it is still a work in progress.

I do no not think that you are finished with this one yet, I think that you need to handle the past and future thoughts separately before you attempt to speak about them at the same time. Goes towards cohesiveness

Photography and words are my activities to try and keep an over active mind under control. For the most part my pieces have been short since that's how I'm wired. I would like to write something longe.. more..
