Night Shadows

"

Sleep is a challenge with shadows and pain

"

Cranial shadow as I drift off to sleep

I so need sleep


3 AM morning may be the end of my sleep

Head pounding could end this night of sleep


Resisted meds given

Brain says NO, I really need relief


4 AM take some relief

Hoping to drift off to good sleep


Time passes waiting for relief

Giving up now I have no sleep


Pain is gone got some relief

My night ended with very little sleep
