Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

In the Eye of the beholder

"

Do you see the beauty around you

as you wander through your day?

Maybe it's time to stop,

view the beauty,

that is set before you.

Before you plunge into the media driven

world of your day, stop!

You have time to view

the beauty of the day,

see the world, as it really is each day.

Could not agree more. The world has changed so much in the last decade. Sometimes it seems like people can not see the beauty in anything anymore.

As long as some of us keep seeing the beauty and sharing it, it will not die. Well I hope not. Thank.. read more
Hello Sir Wells, yes sometimes we have to stop and smell the flowers
For a change, the turns so fast sometimes but we don't have to run with it but to live with it. Great piece thanks for sharing! :-)

Thank you EG for your reading and commenting and we do need to slow down and look around.
I agree with you 100%.

You must seek the good things and not allow the darkness to overtake us. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I think most of the time we are so busy and so consumed in everything going on around us that we do not see the beauty in the world surrounding us. Don't want to sound like a hippy or anything but we should enjoy nature and enjoy the world much more than we do... maybe we would take better care of our world. :)

The formatting, the font choice and colour I found to be suited to a reflective write like this Willard. The image is beautiful and reminded me of a beauty spot in nearby Donegal that is very popular with visitors (like me when I can get there) - another place for reflection as it looks into the Atlantic and really gives you perspective seeing endless ocean.
The advice in this is timely given the ever increasing pace of life and it has reminded me to look up more when out power walking - to make the experience the thing and not the walk.
Thank you for the RR Willard.

I started to stop and smell the flowers a long time ago. I am a God Fearing Soul and I know from whence I came and to where that I will be eventually going. It is nice to make this stop in-between as pleasant as God had intended.
