As one enters through the gates of Heaven, what shall the great I AM say of the way a life has been waged?

What Will I AM Say?

Behold, I AM the LORD,
the GOD of all flesh:
Is there anything too
hard for ME?
Jeremiah 32:27

At each day's end of “Come What May”,
Will words and thoughts pave the way
For love and acts of kindness to begin,
Or to usher disregard and regret in?
Will I AM say,
"JOB WELL DONE”?

As you close your eyes and sleep,
Will dreams be of tears you weep,
Or of love ministered to heal man,
And pleasing acts of "Yes, I can"?
Will I AM say,
"DREAMS CAME TRUE”?

As you complete tasks in a given day,
Will actions have sent pain away
Of brothers consumed by the dark;
Did you offer a bright new spark?
Will I AM say,
"EVIL HAS ENDED”?

As sorrows cause your heart to cry,
Will tears fall to seek how, and why;
Are prayers said asking God to show you,
How to end woes with His way, His view?
Will I AM say,
"DONE MY WAY”?

As pages close of the book you hold,
Were words read urging truth to be told;
Did you read messages as God did inspire,
Urging you to be filled with Holy Spirit fire?
Will I AM say,
"OBEYED MY WORDS"?

When through Heaven's gates you walk in,
Accepting forgiveness for all your sin,
And you stand before Holy Father of man,
Will you say, "I did all for You I can"?
Will I AM say,
"PLEASED I AM"?

Psalms 28:8 NIV
The Lord is the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation for His anointed one.

Oh my friend how i love your writings..always taking us to new ideas..
Somehow I was sad to read this..who will ever care about these words
Or else we will live in a place like heavens..no troubles no worries
No one will think of love and acts of kindness..its just hatred,greed,and..let me live and may all die
As you close your eyes and go to sleep,no dreams or visions ,no tears to cry,we have a heart of stone these days
No sorrow No heart to cry, tears will never fall..I have no troubles then may all others go to hell..
No truth will ever be told..these are not times for truth, times for hypocracy, evil strength will dominate
As you walk through heavens gates ,what shall you say ..I really wonder,is there not a sin that you have not committed..bravo
lovely write..

I am awestruck and I love the -picture you used here. A very good choice for this write. This is one we who are serving the Lord Jesus Christ should ask ourselves. People can say all kinds of things about me, but what He says is the one that really counts. I long to hear his words, "Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter in." I have more fear of Him now that ever before. Thank you for the beautiful reminder. As we enter into tumultuous times, He is our strength and stronghold-our ever present help in time of need.

You are a beautiful person and so thankful for your friendship and love. True Christians are hard to find.
:-( Many confess, but their words are not lining up and the Big book says, "We will know them by their fruit."

Love in Christ, Carole

Sheila, this is so inspiring...yes...he IS The Great I AM!

It isn't what we say, but what we DO in this world that will earn us everlasting life with our Saviour.
Rich or poor, white or black, we are all on an even playing field when we get to the pearly gates and ask to gain admission.
Will our names be highlighted in gold, reviewing our countless acts of kindness to our fellow man...or will they be posted in black, noting our selfishniss in ignoring the plights of those less fortunate than ourselves.

Asking for forgiveness on our death beds, isn't enough to qualify us for first place in God's heart...Change our lives NOW, while the moving finger of life has not written down our names.

Beautiful write Sheila!

Another excellent poem you have penned here Sheila. To involve such a meeting, at heavens gates into a poetic form is just simply brilliant. Your metaphors are excellent, as is the whole masterpiece. I enjoyed reading this as much as I do everything you write. I feel as if I take something away from each and every work of art you create. I look forward to seeing those read requests, and I take my time before I read it to make sure I can be with total silence. I want it to just be myself and the art. For I know that what I am about to read just might be the next greatest thing anyone may have ever penned. As always, it was a pleasure to read. Thank you for sharing.

Though when I consider my worldly actions, most often the image of I AM which comes to my mind is of a mildly chiding grandfather, lips pressed tight, head wagging gently side-to-side, eyes drawn down in pain; yet, having named the name of His son, I know I AM will welcome me into the fold, for though my actions are frequently sullied, I AM knows my heart is true.
This is the image that this plaintive query has stirred in my heart. Thank you, Sheila, for the poignant reminder.

Beautiful, Sheila.

This wonderful piece of writing helps to convince me that we create our own Heaven by our actions in life.

We're all weak - even the powerful, but by loving, thinking, giving comfort or consideration to other people, we do what we're supposed to do.

' As you close your eyes and go to sleep, / Will dreams hold visions of tears you weep, / Be of love ministered to heal woes of man, / Be remembered as pleasing acts of "Yes, I can"? / Will I AM say, /
"DREAMS CAME TRUE"! '

I AM is a frail and fragile creature - God willing, the answer will be given as Heaven's gates close behind us.

Sheila, dear lady, this is a thought-provoking and beautiful piece of writing.
