You are special writer you know. Reading you is like opening a present. It's always going to be both a surprise and a pleasure to "see" and read. The vocabulary...so simple..but so descriptive. And I love how you add a hint of old English. Beautiful!

You have flattered me with your words and I am truly humbled by them!! Friends from another writing forum dubbed me "A Poetess of Multiplicity" as I do write of so many varied topics. I may write of romance one day, and the next day write of the hero or heroine being killed.........lol No one knows! Writing for me reveals secrets, dreams, passions, lamentations, and on and on. An utterly beautiful and haunting poem of love and loss. The pain of loss never truly heals, the hole in our hearts never fills in, but perhaps the edges get a little less ragged given enough time. A most lovely write!

Your insightful review is appreciated as I value the opinion of one who is able to understand that although we may experience loss, we are often left weary even when the deepest of hurts have been lessened. We move on as life continues, but the memories never really leave us. The edges do become less ragged and for this we should be grateful. I know the losses in my life have been so very painful, but I have become a stronger person because of them!

I think the pain would be one never to truly fade or heal.

Thank you my friend! There have been many losses in my life, and I often say I am an old friend with death, so I can place myself in a "state of mind" at times that allows these wounds to open for a moment as though they had just happened, and then I write, cry, and the wounds close again.....this is one of those times. We never know what is around the corner, who will leave us in a heartbeat, who will linger on - all is part of life and death. Some just leave us far too soon!
This song silenced is a collection of those losses - be it a lover, a spouse, a child, a best friend, or a beloved pet (as we have already spoken of).
Your compassion is appreciated!! I move on as I always do and hold onto the wonderful memories of all!

And the conductor took a final bow and the symphony of love ended. Losing a loved one is never easy, and I suppose I have had so much loss in my life that at times it overwhelms me and a write as this is birthed. Melancholy shall perhaps always be a part of my name.......nature is beautiful, and in its beauty I find great joy! I don't know if I have shared my website with you which tells a bit of some of the losses in my life. Thank you for understanding Marie! We all have different ways of coping, and I do understand why there are those, as you, who are unable to write about them!! It is a comfort, especially when I listen to the music that seems to soothe the soul! I do know we must always have hope and carry on - no matter what life dishes out for us!! I guess it is called "survival"!
