Saints and Strangers a Pilgrims Story

Saints and Strangers a Pilgrims Story

A Poem by Dizzy-Izzy
"

Just something I wrote, a year ago.

"

A wayfarer searches for a place to call home

Upon arriving sets off on a pilgrimage to somewhere else

Restless heart beats for nothing

Utilitarian pump only

Such are the journeys of the dissatisfied

Who, time and again find they took the wrong plane

Certain of this fact the moment it touched down

Looking out the window toward the ocean

The ocean is you or, is it me?

Forgetting how to swim and sinking to the bottom

Is this our final resting place?

Seeking absolution

Seeking holy union

Finding only strangers in a foreign land

Having but the purest of intentions

On an interstate headed due south

Seems so few KNOW their "intentions" until life happens.
