Way Out West, They Got A Name, Before I ever knew Mariah’s name,
Heard
her a wailing and whining,
I'm
oh so lost, not even God might find me... They say you can learn all the math in the verse, But if you set sail in a sturdy boat you don’t love, She'll shake you off just as sure as the wind blows! Never loving your journey together for its own sake! Love keeps her afloat when she’d sink to the bottom, Love keeps her afloat in the worst imaginable storm! Love guides our feet upon the path, in total darkness! The albatross was a ship’s luck, until an idiot shot it. Every child’s fond dream is the Bluebird of happiness, While Mariah calls to me, an ocean breeze in a dream! Blow your love to me Mariah set your heart song free! Free your words setting your mind free upon the breeze. I talk to, the whispering wind’s silent voices set adrift! I talk to the trees, but they never bother to listen to me! Set your words free, set them free and see if they return. For when you are alone their ain’t no words but lonely! While Mariah whispers reminding me of who I wish to be... (Alan J.
