Shoot

Shoot

A Poem by Hannah Ellsworth

Shoot me, throw me off a cliff,

then maybe these words

will mean something.

Mame me, slice off my arms,

then maybe these words

will reach someone.

Decapitate me, abandon me in the wilderness

until my corpse lips are frozen blue.

Only then might they hear these words

and listen.
