A Poem by Christina Kruchesky

The thumping in my head,
Is the beating of your heart.
Drumming in simultaneous rhythm.
Keeping our worlds from falling apart.

The echo in my ears,
Is the remnants of your words.
The whispers of sweet nothings,
The kindest somethings ever heard.

The burning in my hands,
Is the remembrance of your touch.
The embrace of your arms,
The closeness of your clutch.

The tingling upon my lips,
Is the prolonging feel of your kiss.
The romantic memories,
The moments I miss.

Every part of me,
Withholds a part of you.
