gone

today I finally realized that you're not coming back. we've grown up being best friends, you even went on vacation with me, but yesterday you came back into town & didn't even swing by to say hello. I thought we would always get to see you when you came home, you always got so excited when you showed up at my house... lately you haven't answered my texts, my sister's, or even my mom's when she reached out to you on facebook. maybe this is for the best, but it doesn't change how much it hurts me. you will always be in my memories as my best friend all throughout my childhood, I just wish it would have lasted longer. you really were a great friend. this is by far the hardest goodbye for me, & the least anticipated.
