Voices (Poem)

Voices (Poem)

A Chapter by Writing.the.Strings

Voices.

That’s pretty much all I hear.

At school

At home.

But most commonly

In my head

Sometimes it’s screaming

Other times there’s sobbing

Then there are whispers.

I can hear them pouring out of my ears

Occasionally drowning out the outside world

Questions

Answers

Singing

Sighing

The howl of anger and stress

The weep of sadness

The lies of hope

So many voices in my head

Too many to comprehend

And I can’t get rid of them.

I agree with this poem. I need silence sometime. I do most of my writing when house is quiet. 1am to 5am. I liked the realistic thoughts leading to proper ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
