It's all around me
Smiling, taunting, watching
What a pretty facade this fake can bring
Hope, love, happiness
Never knowing where it appears
It shapes to many forms
And plays its hand like a king of hearts
As soon as you think you're safe
Darkness swoops you into the night
Leaving you voided of any light
You replay in your mind all of the lies you were promised
Shattering around you is the world you once knew
The ones you hold closest to your heart
They wear the best disguise.
