That Perfect Girl

That Perfect Girl

A Poem by writingismylife4
"

I wrote this about a girl who goes to my school. It's pretty much my jealousy, then my realization. Kind of like a 'so there!!' kind of thing.

"

Jealousy twines around my heart

I force myself from falling apart

Anger and pain infect my soul

Her dazzling smile just widens the hole

Flipping her hair, attracting stares

I’m a nothing, a shadow, not even there

Even hunched over she shines like the sun

There isn’t a contest but she’s already won

Boys go insane when she comes near

A love so intense that it’s nearly fear

She strikes insecurity into girls everywhere

Still we pretend that we don’t care

And I know that I shouldn’t care... but I do

She’d still be attractive if she had the flu

She's flying so high she streaks past the birds,

but

she'll never have my gift of words

About
I love writing, especially poetry. I'm kind of crazy, really random, and have deep thoughts on a daily basis. I love drawing (though I'm not very good at it), and I love anime, especially Naruto. .. more..
