Remembrance ThanksA Poem by NovelleA poem that was written during struggling timesThere are so many memories Stuck in my head Many that are good Some that are bad I care about some Some that I don’t Yet, I want to see how all of them match
There is a picture book spread out before me Pictures of everything I saw Friends Family People Places Everything that I took
There is a movie playing in the background The last day we were all there Friends Family People Graduation Day The party was the last thing to see us
I remember the reflections that we all had Of everything that we all needed Food Friends People Things It was happy to finally tell everyone
In the background, our last song plays Over, never skipping a beat It is us Our band Our music I wonder if I should tell them to publish it Before me beside the album A book lays open and flat Our words spread out Our voices throw out Our minds come together I wonder if they will love it
Then there is the final piece of the puzzle The final bit I gathered From that night That party On Graduation Day
It glitters up at me, shinning and black It was so fast to happen Everything faded Lea Alex Friends All Together Family Too Everything faded
I wonder what would have been different On that night so long ago Three years, actually Three cold hearted years
Our voices shine onward The memorial and group I made It is their soul Their minds Their brains Them
I look at the scattered remains of the past The book The pictures The song The memories I remember you and still keep you dear
Thank you for saving me, My friends My family © 2009 Novelle |
