Mother's Day

Mother's Day

A Poem by Amanda Worthington
"

A poem I wrote for Mother's Day

"

A mother’s job

is to make sure

the baby bird flies.

To make sure

the foal takes it’s first steps.

To make sure

everything works out ok.

A mother is there

to help us.

She is there to guide us.

She is the one

to bring us into

this dizzying world.

A mother’s job

is to make sure

the baby bird flies.

Author's Note

Amanda Worthington
I wrote this for my mother for Mother's Day. I think it's my first non-depressing poem.

Why do I write? Because I want my opinions and my thoughts to be known. I want to make other people feel what I do. I love it when it's just me and my characters, late at night with no one to interrup.. more..
