Im Doing Ok

Im Doing Ok

A Poem by Thomas Wright

Well, Come and have a dance with me,

Im not too sure but i'll guarantee,

That i'll come out with something that'll be wrong

The band is playing the songs we know,

And im gonna dance like a fool although,

Im doing ok,

I just wanna rock and roll

Oh, i think i'll get me a nice old car,

A '56 Cadillac to take me far,

to shows across the length of White Sand Bay

The jukebox eats your change you see

But it's worth it for the rhythm of Jerry Lee

Im doing ok,

I just wanna rock and roll

Well You, Can, Wait for months

just to play a guitar with a band,

But, The, wait is nothing,

You're finding it hard but you'll find a way

Well, now i got me a route to go,

Im gonna work hard though it's gonna be slow

But im doing ok

I just wanna rock and roll

---Instrumental---

Well You, Can, Wait for months

just to play a guitar with a band,

But, The, wait is nothing,

You're finding it hard but you'll find a way

Well, now i got me a route to go,

Im gonna work hard though it's gonna be slow

But im doing ok

I just wanna rock and roll

im doing ok,

I just wanna rock and roll

Yeah, im doing ok,

I just wanna rock and roll
