Falling Blue and Auburn Too

Falling Blue and Auburn Too

A Poem by Jamie

The irony

Is calling me.

A safe way

To beckon.

The falling blue

And auburn too.

Silent, windless

Leave-less trees.

The sky a threat

Overdue.

The way we talk

Uncomforting.

The darkest wisdom

And the lightest sage.

A worry in

Nighttime’s shade.
