No Voice

No Voice

A Poem by Jamie

I have no voice.

And you won’t listen with your heart.

My doubt is on a rise.

Fear, a ravenous shark.

Famished by the augmenting tide,

And the echo without compassion.

The wind-burning screeches

Of threat-less little stings.

Drowning out my last whimpers,

My voice a dying thing.

Take a deep breath. Count to three. Move.

Wow. This poem is simply amazing. Imagery is definitely one of your strong points in this work, but also the feel, the ebb and flow is astonishing.

'Famished by the augmenting tide,
And the echo without compassion.'

That has to be my favorite line, it struck me and the way you manipulate the words is lovely. Wonderful job~
