Stand In My Corner

Stand In My Corner

A Poem by Jamie

Stand in my corner.

Slouching or hurting,

Or broken and bruised.

Stand in my corner

Till I get around to you.

Support my frail pride.

Disgusted or cursed,

Or wasted and sore.

Support my frail pride,

Till you see the warring core.

Come hold me.

Nervous or shaking,

Or edgy and composed.

Come hold me,

And I’ll let all others go.

Nice poem but I think you could add one stanza more to make it more touching.
All in all its really a good piece

This poem was very nicely written. I can certainly say while reading it, I could relate to the feeling you bring with the descriptors you chose to use. Good Job!
