Does Anyone Really Know Us?

Does Anyone Really Know Us?

A Poem by Eva Clarkston
"

Does anyone know what goes on inside our heads?

"

I'm told I'm outgoing,
That people know me so well,
But they don't know how my thoughts get flowing,
And what I don't tell.

Does anyone really know me?
Does anyone have a clue what goes on inside my head?
I doubt anyone realizes what I want to be,
They only know what I have said.

I question if anyone close to me,

From my parents to my friends,

Do any of them see,

The messages my brain sends.

I'm positive that I'm really alone,

Regardless if I am 'popular' or 'friendly',

My 'friends' tell me I'm never alone,

But no one really knows me.
