Stars

Stars

A Poem by Eva Clarkston
"

This was an assignment I had to do - a poetry about nature. I wrote it in about twenty minutes, so it's not very good.

"

The moon, so bright,

In the night so dark,

But where are the stars,

Surrounding the moon?

The city of lights,

Shine up the to sky,

They block out the light,

That filled up the night.

When we can't see the stars,

What are we missing?

Our imagination doesn't go far,

And we have stopped living.

The woods, so vast,

That from there you can see,

Those stars, so bright,

When far from the city.

I go to the woods,

And there I remember,

What my ancestors did see,

And how they did dream.

Back in the city,

Where airplanes are the stars,

I look and I wonder,

What we miss from afar.
