Life is Love

Life is Love

A Poem by Eva Clarkston
"

I wrote this poem last year. It relates to my life, indirectly. I'm not going to go much into that.

"

You can remember the good days,

But those always did pass,

A decade of pain left behind,

The joyful time exists in the past.

You home ain't your heart,

When your family's fallin' apart.

After a decade of pain,

She does go away.

Left behind are Child of Day and Child of Night,

Products of a 20-year fight.

Left all alone,

Family of two.

Child of Day,

You won't let the happy times be forgot,

A decade of pain won't riddle your thoughts,

You let your friends heal your wounds,

While the other festers in her room.

That is the Child of Night.

Can't go another day,

When the pain just won't go away.

Oh Child of Pain,

You just blew out your brains.

Child of Day,

Family of One,

Now it is time to move on.

Your sister's in her happy place,

Depression just ain't your case.

Everyone's different,

And yet we're the same,

We can't live without love,

Or we'll blow out our brains.
