To TimeA Poem by Michael J. RichardsTime has slowed Nearly coming to a stop The teacher drones On and on On and on The clock never moves I wait and wait Wait and wait For it to move For class to be over To get on with my day And get on with my life Time is speeding by Quicker than before Leaving me Barely any time I’m not done talking Just not done With anything The bell rings But I’m still not done I wish time would slow When it rushes right past But then it would creep I wish time would be faster When it moves at a snail’s pace But then it would hurry by Leaving me behind So I’ll just wait When time inches along And I’ll do as much as I can In the little time I have When time flies I’ll use the time I have Not wasting it Subjecting my life To Time © 2010 Michael J.
