Ode to Trash CansA Poem by writerpennameJust a silly poem
Oh thy wonderous trash bin!
How great art thou in use. So strong and firm but pliant, Serving with gratitude. Thou hues are magnificent in color, So flamboyant and bright. Jade greens, shimmering silvers, vibrant sapphire blues. Both peacock and precious metal. The strangest treasures doth thou hold, Ugly and beautiful are to narrow of words. To one man thy continents are waste, To another is boundless wealth. Worshipped by the animals as a merciful god, The servant of mortal humans as well. Imparting trinkets to masked thieves, And granting the lowly beggar a meal. Oh how amiable and grand art thou! Such grace can only be found in thee. Night time is thy prowling grounds, Keeper of the dark corner. © 2013 writerpenname |
