Blast

Blast

A Poem by Sarah Buchanan
"

Just something I threw together after hearing and reading all these stories of shot gun blasts so to speak.

"

Shot gun blasts

Leave us wondering

What have we become?

Screams and cries

For help

Go unanswered.

Death

Destruction

Paranoia

Leaves us wondering

Can we fix this?

How many will survive

This fall out

Hope remains

But is it enough?

Shot gun blasts

Heard out the window

Of even your neighborhood.
