RecessionA Poem by Sarah BuchananThis is something I wrote today. A friend of mine had to sell is blood today in order to afford food. He's been out of work for 2 months due to this recession.
Recession, A word Just a word Inflicts fear Causes pain Causes this, Downward spiral It will not heed, To our dismay, Deflation comes to minds, More suffering, More fear is inflicted, Blood is sold, So one can eat, For jobs are scarce, And his tummy grumbles. Starvation Not possible, Not in this country, Not in But I see it coming, Food becomes scarce, Death surrounds us, If we do not look at history, Then we shall never change, For history tells the future, The future we can change. © 2009 Sarah BuchananAuthor's Note
