SufferingA Poem by Sarah BuchananWritten out of frustration with the way everything has gone. I think I wrote it before Obama.
Everyone is suffering, The economy is failing, The government is doing nothing, The poor are suffering, The rich do nothing. Blind eyes engulf those who have power, Anger fills those who have none, A day will come when you will see, The power that be cannot hold on, To it’s reigning tyranny, It’s bound to fall on top of us, The weight will be the death of the world. History is predicting the future again, Why does no one see, The story that is to be, The one that brings all the death and suffering, Our future is to fail, Where many have before, If only the blind could see. Blind eyes engulf those who have power, Anger fills those who have none, A day will come when you will see, The power that be cannot hold on, To it’s reigning tyranny, It’s bound to fall on top of us all, The weight will be the death of the world. If only If only they might If only it could be If only it was possible If only our voice could be heard If only they could see. Blind eyes engulf those who have power, Anger fills those who have none, A day will come when you will see, The power that be cannot hold on, To it’s reigning tyranny, It’s bound to fall on top of us all, The weight will be the death of the world. © 2009 Sarah BuchananReviews
