Amazing piece. This speaks to so many levels for me. It can be a relationship, it can be life or it can be maturity. We have come to a point in life when words mean less and less because no one honors their word. Trust has been lost and in return we become alone in our own world because we are scared to let others in.
This is most definitely a powerful piece, wow, I'm just in awe of all it is and all it was. This definitely speaks to the souls of those lost to the crazy war we're fighting over there, the minds and bodies of U.S. troops who are gone forever, the whole thing speaks volumes to what we're all witnessing and it's just powerful. Love it, love it all.
This is the first submission, which I have reviewed for my Contest! Well, it is a good one. Both meaningful, sincere and quite political. Despite these great qualities, this does not have much of a flow or clear structure. On the otherhand, I accept that the writer probably knows this. Furthermore, she had more worthy intentions, than simply following a conventional format.
Well, you repeat "never again", as a way of reminding the reader that the awful behaviour does happen again. In other words, this is a way of emphasising that when the politicians say "never again", such cruel behaviour does happen again! Indeed, words can be worthless! Indeed, that is also one of the worthy messages, expressed in Sarah's poem.
"no one listens" and "no one remembers". These words made me think, in particular. It may be worth remmbering that these words apply to many other people too! Not just the politicians! For example, the news media, general public and others. Any thoughts, in regard to that?
