Passing By

Passing By

A Poem by Sarah Buchanan

Each day passes by.  Never knowing if we were right, never knowing what we coiuld have done better, never knowing what is to come.  Each day passes by.

We live in a world of fear.  A world of hate and anger.  A world of death and destruction.  A world of opportunity and hope.  A world of neverending emotion.

Each day passes by.  Never knowing if we were right, never knowing what we coiuld have done better, never knowing what is to come.  Each day passes by.

Some try to make it better, some try to make it worse, as the world keeps spinning out of control.  We fight for good, we fight for evil.  We kill, we waste, we die.  All the pain and suffering is caused by us.  Some by stupidity, some by ignorance, some by people who just plain enjoy it.  Where did we go wrong?

Each day passes by.  Never knowing if we were right, never knowing what we coiuld have done better, never knowing what is to come.  Each day passes by.

As the days pass by I hope that one day we shall see how much better we can be.
