Live and Die

Live and Die

A Poem by Sarah Buchanan
"

This one started out with frustration with life, then turned into frustration with policies and politics.

"

All I ever want is to live,
But yet all I seem to get is the pain.
Why is it so hard to be happy and stay happy?
F**k this life and the next one.
If all I get is pain,
Then what's the point?

Live.
F**k.
Die
And do it all again.
Life is just a cycle, we are caught in.
What's the point if it can't be enjoyed?
We can't even end it, f**k it all.

Let us live
Is such a hard concept for the powers that be.
They can't let us be happy
So how can we live?
Living requires happiness and feelings.
Why do some of us have none?
Why must the heartless be in control?

Live.
F**k.
Die
And do it all again.
Life is just a cycle, we are caught in.
What's the point if it can't be enjoyed.
We can't even end it, f**k it all.

You tease,
You torment,
You torture,
You betray.
Why do we put up with it day after day?
Why try to ignore it and go on with the day?
Why not fight it and end it today?

F**k the teasing,
F**k the tomerment,
F**k the torture,
F**k the betrayel.
Let us live our lives without you.

Live.
F**k.
Die
And do it all again.
Life is just a cycle, we are caught in.
What's the point if it can't be enjoyed.
We can't even end it, f**k it all.
