Fear?

Fear?

A Poem by Sarah Buchanan
"

Just some release of frustration

"

Why the fear?
Everyone's paranoid,
But are they fearful of the right person?

Should we fear Arabs,
Or our own government?

Who's going to take our rights?
Where have our civil liberties gone?
Does the Bill of Rights mean nothing?

We talk as if we're so free,
But how free are we?
We fear what Bush says we should,
As he and Ashcroft take away our rights.

A strong write that made your point within a clear, poignant and concise way. Rhythm and passion I didn't feel but don't take that in a bad way as the comment is so a million miles meant away from that. Beautiful strong meaning of many things that more than deserve to questioned.

Intense. True...A writing worthy of praise and praise shall be given. The depth is what sets this piece apart.

I liked this, I think you express the sentiments of the American public very well.. the fear we hold about our government. We must ask questions, scrutinize bills.. speak out. You make your point well in a concise manner. Great work.

"Should we fear Arabs,
Or our own government?"

That probably made this poem what it is, great. I feel these words here. I definitely overstand what you are getting at

this soesn't catch me on a poetic tone. Though I agree with some of the s**t you said, it felt like a bunch of statements. I would try to say the same s**t creatively. If you are interested, I am going to post a piece of mine I pulled a while back...check it out and see if it helps with what I'm trying to say... It's called four more years... Ill have it up in ten minutes or less...
