The PleaA Poem by writerman120A poem that takes the complicated emotion of love and pushes it into a deeper place of affection that is both rare and priceless. When the person that you care about is dying...How far would you go?The Plea
Here I am, I have come to your door. I promise to be quick, For time will soon be no more. I have come to thee, I beg, I cry; And so, too, do I pray. So please hear now, My desperate plea. Take your large wand, And wave your immortal magic, And grant me just one, One final day. I hate the feel; This pain inside these bitter tears. Come to me, Come to me, And I will offer you a deal. Erase this stained reflection From upon these vast, sacred mirrors. They shatter; They break. I give, And you so wrongly take. Look; Watch through that one disdainful eye, And see her there. So tell me now, Why does she die! I am on my knees, I am at your mercy now, too, So look carefully upon me, And tell me; Can you see it now? My tears; They fall. My heart; It breaks. And so I ask just one question: Please, just let me know how! I’ll give you this heart, And I’ll pledge you my soul. I’ll throw away my whole life To see that she no longer suffers such woe. Will you listen? Will you lend me your aid? It is her they will all be missin’! Not me! Oh why must she fade? I won’t let you have her; You can’t! I will not part! No, no, For it is love’s finest, truest of art. You must know that I will wait. Know, too, that I will stay; That I will follow her. Through those fierce fires, And any such fray. Hand in hand, Our hearts are no longer two. We are one, We are the same, She and I. So I beg of you now, Please, oh please, Please do not let her die… See, and watch too, Notice that gloom? It falls on to her head. I offered you my heart; My soul"so pure, and so true. Take me. Please, For I volunteer free. That I will go proudly, I will go in her stead. © 2015 writerman120
