Episode Twelve: Wedding Blue Bells (Part 1)A Poem by AlyEpisode Twelve: Wedding Bell Blues (Part 1) SCENE 1: NEW YORK CITY COURT HOUSE. EVERYONE IS IN SEPARATE ROOMS.
CHAD MONTGOMERY, (CHANDLER’S FATHER) NATHANIEL AND LYDIA MASEN (GWEN’S PARENTS)
ARE IN THE ROOM WITH JUDGE HATHAWAY. CHANDLER,ANDREW,AND JAKE ARE IN A SEPARATE ROOM FROM THE
LADIES. Chandler: (looking at his reflection in the mirror) This is
it. Andrew: Three days later and here we are… Jake: (fixes his tie) Andrew: (notices) Dude! That’s is the fourth time you’ve “adjusted”
you’re tie. It’s fine! Chandler: He just wants to look nice for Amanda (chandler
smiles) Jake: Shut up. Andrew: (laughs) Relax, man. She’s still got the hot’s for
ya. Jake: How can you be so sure? Andrew: I can just tell. Jake: Can we talk about something else? Chandler: (sighs) Andrew: You alright? Chandler: No. I’m…I just can’t believe this is real. Jake: You and me both buddy. Andrew: We better get out there. Jake pats Chandler on the back. Chandler nods and breathes in and out as they walk to the room where everyone is. Genevieve is adjusting Gwen’s veil for the final time.
Amanda,Jessie, and Kiera are all sitting together holding white roses as
bonquets. Everyone including Genevieve is wearing a blue dress. Gwen: (sighs and thinks in her head) This is it…I’m really getting married…to a stranger I only four days
ago…a stranger whose about to be my husband…who I’m able to be married too…forever. Genevieve: You alright? Gwen: (nods) Just nervous. Jessie: Perfectly normal. Once we get some wine in ya you’ll
be okay. Gwen: I. Uh. I don’t drink. Jessie: Oh. Amanda: You look great, Gwen. Really. Gwen: (smiles at her while looking at the mirror) Thank you.
Kiera is silent and adjusts her blue dress. Genevieve looks at her watch. Genevieve: Oh! We better get out there. Everyone moves outside. The bridesmaids go first. Everyone is there. Chandler is standing alone waiting. Andrew
and Jake are on his side. Genevieve is
standing where she needs too. Jessie, Amanda, and Kiera walk in. Amanda gently
squeezes Kiera’s hand. Chandler smiles at them. Kiera glances at Chandler but
looks away. They take their places. Gwen
enters and everyone looks. Chandler sheds a tear as she walks towards him, and
he takes her hand. Judge Hathway: Welcome, to the parents, and friends of these
two young people. Today on July sixteenth, of two thousand and four. Chandler
Montgomery and Gwen Masen stand here pledging their love for each other. The words Judge Hathway are speaking fade away….CAMERA FOCUS
ON KIERA Kiera: I made a
mistake. Sleeping with Chandler. Now I can’t be with him. I can never tell him,
that I’m pregnant. It’ll break apart his marriage. I should have said something
from the start. Now here is standing in front of a judge. Being lawfully wedded
to her. Gwen. What could I do? When the one my heart wants was taken. He looks
so happy. I should just not saying anything. I wouldn’t be the first girl to
raise a child by myself.
Can’t Go Back Now by
The Weepies is playing. JUDGE HATHWAY’S MOUTH IS MOVING BUT WE ONLY HEAR THE
SONG PLAYING. CHANDLER AND GWEN SAY WORDS, BUT WE CANNOT HEAR THEM. JUDGE HATHAWAY: Ladies and Gentlemen I give you. Mister and Missus Montgomery. NATHANIEL AND LYDIA MASEN CLAP. SO DOES CHAD MONTGOMERY. CHANDLER AND GWEN KISS. Jake, Andrew, Jessie, Amanda, and Kiera clap. Everyone cheers except for Kiera. Amanda looks from Chandler and Gwen to Kiera. Amanda sees a tear running down Kiera’s face.
