Episode Four: The One Where Everyone Doesn't Remember AnythingA Screenplay by Aly S-1 E-4 of "The Dilemma"
Scene 1:
Chandler's room. Chandler wakes and his hands quickly move to his head. Chandler: Ow. Whoa. Headrush. Chandler gets out of bed and looks in his mirror he stucks out his tongue and notices purple coloring on his tongue. oh crap...what did I do this time? Chandler goes back to his bed and notices he isn't alone. A dark-haired girl is in his bed. Face down, and sound asleep. OH CRAP! Chandler realizes half of his clothes are off. Chandler quietely exits his room and runs to Andrew's room. He opens the door and finds Andrew sound asleep also. Chandler runs and jumps on the bed. Chandler: Andrew! Andrew! Andrew: (groans) What in...(He looks and sees Chandler and his eyes get wide) Dude! Stop jumping! You're gonna hurt yourself again. Chandler: (Still jumping) Andrew! Andrew! Chandler keeps jumping then falls. Andrew: Great job Chandler. Andrew removes his blanket and helps him up. Andrew: What is your problem? Chandler: What happened last night at the party. Andrew: (pretends to think about it) Well...we partied. Chandler: I know but what did I do? Andrew: What do you mean? After you, me, and Jake were talking you left. I never saw you again. Chandler: (his eyes get big) You never saw me again? Andrew: No. Why? Chandler: Oh Lord Andrew: Dude what is the problem? You probably just partied hard. Chandler: I think I did more than just party a little hard. Andrew: Alright what exactly are you getting at? Chandler: (looks down at the ground then at andrew then down at the ground again) I uh woke up with a girl in my bed. Andrew: A girl? Chandler: Yeah..but I dunno who she is Andrew: You don't know who she is? Chandler what the heck man? Chandler: I don't know! I can't remember anything from last night. Which is weird because there was no alcohol or anything here last night. Andrew: Well there was if you went to the right people. Chandler: What? Andrew: Last night Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson were here Chandler and Andrew move to the bed. Chandler: Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson were here? Andrew: (nods) Mm-hmm Mandy and I saw 'em last night they had a little dance off but anyway. They didn't come here empty handed. They brought booze, and some of the well. You know. The good stuff. Chandler: Oh no... Andrew: Aw c'mon Chandler you didn't hang out with them last night. Chandler: Why else can't I remember anything? The only time you ever don't remember anything is if your in a sci-fi book or movie or if you drank. I drank! Andrew: Alright alright Chandler: Oh crap...(he sighs) Drew. There's a reason why I've only partied three times in my life. Andrew: I know. Some people can't handle being party animals. Chandler: (gives him a dirty look) Andrew: Okay okay sorry. C'mon let's go see the girl. Andrew and Chandler quietly leave the room and go to Chandler's bedroom. They quietly open the door and no one is there. Chandler: (runs pointing at his bed) She was here! She was here! She was here! Andrew: Relax I believe you. Chandler: Oh crap. What if I got her pregnant. Then I'd have to marry her. Andrew: You'd really marry a girl if you got her pregnant? Chandler: It's the best and only reason Drew. Kiera quitely goes into her room, she sets down her shoes quietly and quietly moves into her sleeping bag. She lays down and as she tries to sleep she hears movement. Then voices She hears Amanda's voice Amanda: You better leave before she wakes up Male Voice: Okay. Are we gonna talk about this? Amanda: Later, okay? Just leave before she walks up. There is moving around. Kiera closes her eyes to pretend to be asleep. She hears footsteps walk past her and hears the door open and close. What happened last night? Scene 2: Andrew and Chandler walk downstairs Chandler: This is bad. This is bad man. Andrew: (he points) I know. Look how big this mess is. Chandler: Focus Drew! I mean whatever happened last night. Andrew stops Chandler looks at him Chandler: What are you doing? Andrew: (points) Look! Here we see Jessie asleep on the floor in her pajames. Andrew and Chandler walk over to her. Chandler: Jessie Andrew: (shaking her gently) Jess. Hey walk up. Jessie's eyes open she gets up and kicks Andrew Andrew holds his sides and stumbles to the floor Chandler: (looks from Andrew to Jessie. Mouth a little dropped) Jessie! What was that? Jessie: I. I am so sorry Drew. Old habit. Andrew: O-Old. Habit? Jessie: I'd rather not say. Jessie crouches down to him Jessie: Are you okay? Andrew: Not really. But I'll be fine. Jessie: I'm so sorry. Chandler looks around the room. Other people were asleep on the floor. He went to the pool and no one was there. He looked in the Underground Game Room he sees Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson asleep on the floor. Chandler: Hey. Hey! He kicks them. Bobby: Ow! Kaleb: (wakes up and runs a hand through his blonde hair) Man what the heck. Chandler: Did we hang out last night? Kaleb and Bobby think about this for a little bit. Kaleb: Yeah. Yeah a little. Chandler: what did we do? Bobby: I don't know. Hung I guess. Chandler: (lowers his voice) Did you give me...the good stuff? Last night? Kaleb: Nah man. We offered but you didn't take it. Chandler: I didn't? Bobby: Nope. Chandler: Okay wait what exactly happened? Kaleb and Bobby look at each other and sigh (Flashback to Party) Chandler is dancing crazily Kaleb: Chandler! (holding his hand out) What some? Chandler: No thanks I'm good! Chandler starts to do the worm. Bobby: Dude. He is crazy. Kaleb: Ha. I'll have what he's having! (Kaleb laughs) Reality: Bobby: There. Now can I sleep? Chandler: Huh..yeah sure I guess. Chandler thought: But if I didn't have any alochol or anything like that...how come I can't remember anything? What happened to me? Kiera and Amanda are getting dressed Kiera: So who was that? Amanda: (brushing her hair) Who what what? Kiera: Who was the guy in the bed this morning? Amanda: No one. Kiera: (walks over to her with hands on her hips) No one as in 'No on I know it was just some random guy I hooked up with' or 'no one because you know him' Amanda: (puts her brush down and moves to the bed to make it) No one as in no one. Kiera: I know you know him. What random guy would say "Are we gonna talk about this?" Amanda: (throws her pillow on the bed and fluffs it) No one okay? Leave it alone Kiera. Kiera: I'm gonna find out. Amanda: Just leave it alone. A knock at the door Kiera answers it. Jake is at the door Kiera: Hey Jake. Jake: Morning Kiera. Mandy up? Kiera: Uh yeah. (Kiera steps aside) Jake: (walks over to her) Morning Mandy Amanda: Morning. Jake and Amanda look back at Kiera Kiera: Alright alright I'll leave. Breakfast time anyway. (opens door and leaves) Jake: (in a low voice) Last night Amanda: It meant nothing Jake: Well Mandy Amanda: Look there's nothing to talk about. I don't even remember half the night Jake: Of course not you were drunk. Amanda: No I wasn't. Jake: Yes you were. I was too. But not as much. Okay you drank from a blue cup all that night. The blue cups were the alochol. Red ones were clean. Amanda: Impossible. Jake: hey I did my best to make sure nothing bad was at the party but people brought stuff, and it lead to us in bed. Amanda: It doesn't mean anything. Jake: we should still talk about it. Amanda: I think we're done talking Jake: What's wrong? How come you don't wanna talk about it? Amanda: I just wanna forget it happened okay? It's embrassing that I slept with you because I was drunk. I thought I was drinking Lemonade but I guess I was wrong. Jake: Well spiked Lemonade. Amanda: Not helping. Amanda continues to make her bed. Jake: I just wanted to help. Make sure there weren't any confused feelings. Amanda: I am confused, but I can figure it out. Please leave. Jake: Mandy. Amanda: Just leave! (she throws her pillow at Jake) Jake stares at her as she clutches her blanket Jake: I'm not sorry. About last night. A few silent minutes pass and he leaves. Amanda lays on her bed and cries. Scene 3: Kiera: Well that's your own problem Chandler. Chandler: I know. But it just bothers me. Kiera: Look you just had a lot of sugar last night. Chandler: Now how would you know? Kiera and Chandler are eating breakfast and Andrew and Jessie are sitting at the kitchen table with them. Jessie holds ice to Andrew's face. Chandler: Doesn't anybody remember anything? Andrew: About what? Chandler: Me! What happened with me! I woke up with a strange girl in my bed remember? Kiera: (drinking some orange juice chokes a little) You slept with someone? Chandler: That's my problem! I don't know! I have to find her! And marry her! Andrew:What?! Jessie: What! Kiera: What?! Andrew:M-M-M-Marry her? Why? Kiera: Yeah why? Chandler: Well if I slept with her that means I got her pregnant. I got her pregnant. I'll marry her. Andrew: Pregnancy is why you'll get married Chandler? Chandler: Pregnancy is the only and best reason to get married. Chandler notices Kiera Chandler: Kiera you okay? You look a little green with a dash of pale. Kiera: Fine. Excuse me. Kiera goes upstairs just as Jake is coming down. Chandler: Jake! Jake walks over to them. Chandler: Jake. Last night do you remember anything? Jake: About what? Chandler: Me. Jake: After you left me and Drew, I never saw you for the rest of the night. Chandler: (sighs) Scene 4: Kiera runs into the bedroom and locks the door. Kiera: Mandy! Mandy! Are you crying? Amanda: ( sits up on the bed) I was. I'm fine. Kiera: What's wrong? Amanda moves a little bit to make room for Kiera. Kiera gets some tissue from her suitcase and hands it to Amanda. Amanda: (taking it drying her left eye) Thanks Kiera: What's wrong? Amanda: (sniffs) I slept with Jake. Kiera: (eyes get big) No! Amanda: (nods) I was drunk, so was he. I just. I feel so bad. And I remember making out with Dylan, and I think I'm back together with him. I don't know. I. I'm such a bad person! I thought I was just drinking Lemonade! (starts crying again) Kiera: (pulls her in for a hug) Aw honey...I'm sorry. (she sighs) We all make mistakes. Like sleeping with Chandler Amanda: (her eyebrow raises) what? Kiera: (still in the hug patting her on the back) Yeah I slept with Chandler, and I might be pregnant if I'm pregnant I'll have to marry him. Amanda: (pulls back) You'd really only marry Chandler if you were pregnant with his baby? Kiera: Best and only reason, Honey. Amanda:Okay (laughs) Wow you and Chandler. How much did you drink? Kiera: two drinks. Maybe three tops. Amanda: (laughs) Looks like that's all it takes. Kiera: Yeah. Tell me about it. Andrew and Jessie are sitting alone. Andrew: Did you hook up with anyone last night? Jessie: Yeah. Did you? Andrew: No one I remember. Jessie: That's okay. I barely remember that we did. Andrew: (raises eyebrow) We did? Jessie: Mm-hmm. But that's okay. I was with other guys last night too. Andrew: O...kay... Amanda comes down and walks over to Andrew and Jessie Amanda: Hey guys Andrew: Hey Amanda sit by them Amanda: Where's everyone else? Andrew: (shrugs) Don't know. Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson walk in Bobby: Dude sweet party Andrew: Hey thanks man Kaleb leans over to Jessie and whispers something in her ear. Jessie smiles Andrew punches Kaleb Amanda and Jessie step back Amanda: Andrew! Jessie: Andrew! What's your problem? Kaleb is getting up and Bobby helps him Kaleb: What's your problem Andrew: Don't sleep with her again! Kaleb: I didn't sleep with her! Jessie: He didn't Andrew Andrew: What? Jessie: He didn't sleep with me Kaleb: I didn't sleep with her. Andrew: Oh. Jessie: Okay I think we need to have a talk (Jessie pulls on Andrew's arm and leads him out of the room) Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson look at Amanda Amanda ignores them Amanda walks outside and walks to the sidewalk to go for a long walk but sees a car that she knew all to well. She goes over to the car and looks inside the window and sees Dylan asleep in his car. Amanda knocks on his car window. Dylan's eyes flutter and he looks and sees its her. He unlocks the car. Amanda gets inside. Amanda: Hey Dylan: Hey Amanda: Did you drink? Dylan: (nods) Too scared to drive Amanda: (smiles) He always was more scared of doing the wrong than the right. Dylan: Sleeping in a car is no picnic either. Amanda: (smiles) You could've stayed inside. Dylan: No not really. Amanda: Did we get back together? Dylan: I think so. I'm fuzzy on the details but I think so. Amanda: That's how I feel. Dylan: Do you even want to get back together? Amanda: I don't know. I really don't know how I feel. Dylan: I slept with Jessie. Amanda: (looks at him) Oh. Dylan: I was drunk- Amanda: It's ok. You like her. Amanda: (breathes in and out) I slept with that guy. The one you were talking about last night. Dylan: I slept with you. Amanda: Before or after? Dylan: I don't know. I just know we did. Amanda: (sighs) Dylan: Clearly we need a break. Amanda: (nods) Ya think? Dylan: (laughs) We both need to figure things out. Amanda: Yeah. Scene 5: Jessie: What is your problem? They were in Jessie's room. Andrew: My problem? My problem is that your sleeping around! Jessie: Hey. I was drunk. And why do you care? Andrew: I don't, Jessie: Liar! Andrew: Alright alright maybe I do. But you obviously don't. Jessie: What are you talking about? (groans in frustration) Your more diffcult than Momma on a hot summer day at a Rodeo in Kentucky! Andrew: I am not a chicken! Jessie: I wasn't calling you a chicken! Andrew and Jessie bicker for the next twenty minutes Jessie: Chicken! Andrew: I like you! Jessie: (breathes heavily) What? Andrew: I. I like you. Jessie: You do? Andrew: Since Freshmen Year Jessie: And now you say something? Andrew: I'm kinda slow. Jessie: No kidding. But that's okay I am too. Andrew: (laughs) Jessie: I like you too. And I'm sorry I made you jealous. Andrew: I wasn't jealous. Jessie: (looks at him confusingly for a moment) Your right. My mistake. Andrew smiles. Chandler and Jake are sitting by the remains of last nights Bon Fire. Chandler: Guess I'll never know who I slept with. Jake: I think you should just forget it. Chandler: But I can't. What if I got her pregnant. Jake: What if you didn't even sleep with her? Maybe you just fell asleep in the same bed. Chandler: Maybe. That would make better since. Jake: See? Relax. Silence between them Chandler: I think it was a Veronica. Jake: (sighs) Alright I'm leaving. Jake walks back into the kitchen and pours himself some orange juice I haven't seen Veronica all day... Jake goes up the stairs and walks over to her room. He knocks on the door Jake: Veronica? He listens and nothing and opens the door and finds nothing of hers there. Except a note on the bed. Jake, I'm sorry for last night. I know it didn't mean anything but I'm sorry. I know it was a mistake. I'm staying with my friends now. I think I wore out my welcome when you and your friends arrived. I'm sorry I kissed you. Veronica. Jake sets the paper down. I messed up. Big time. Scene 6: Everyone is sitting in the living room Andrew: So everyone hooked up with everyone? Jake: Pretty much. Chandler: Are you sure I didn't sleep with Veronica? Andrew: Chandler! Jessie: Chandler! Kiera: Chandler! Amanda: Chandler! Jake: Chandler! Chandler: Alright alright. Jessie: this is a big mess. Kiera: Aren't you too together? (points at Jessie and Andrew) Andrew: We're still talking it over. Jessie: Mandy are you with anyone? Amanda: No. Just taking it all one step at a time. Chandler: Kiera did you sleep with anyone? Kiera: Shut up Chandler. Jake: Everyone needs a break. This whole party was a mess. Andrew: Yeah...I'm not cleaning up all the cups. Jessie: Not that mess Drew. The emotional mess the party caused. Andrew: Oh. Yeah that too. Amanda: Other than all of this. The party was a sucess. Chandler: Yeah Andrew: Yeah dude. Bobby Westwood and Kaleb Johnson liked it. Jake: Well. I guess. Jessie: Your still thinking about Veronica huh? Jake: I feel bad. Amanda: Give it time. She probably just wants to be left alone for a little while. Jake: I guess. (He puts his head on his arms) Amanda: At least we're all still friends. Chandler: Yeah Andrew: Yeah Jessie: Mm-hmm. Chandler: Guess we better clean up. Unless there's a maid. Jake: No maid Chandler. Chandler: (stomps his foot) Dang. Everyone gets up and they all get out cleaning supplies and trash bags. Scene fades to black Credits appear.
