Episode One: The Pizza Dilemma (Part 2)

Part 2 of the Pizza Dilemma

"Thanks Jess food was great," said Chandler

Jess smiles "Ya'll want dessert?"

Andrew shakes his head "Nah we're good, bring over the bill will ya?"

Jess nods and leaves

Jake walks in "Sorry, I'm late, I would've been here faster but I was kinda chatting with Amanda. She alright?"

"I don't think so. She ran into her ex." said Andrew. Kiera hits him. 

"You know what? You are abusive!"

"You didn't have to tell him."

"I was just answering his question!"

"So is there any food left?"

"Oh yeah dude, we have...two hot wings, and two slices of pizza," said Chandler

Jake shrugged "I'll take what I can get," Jake starts eating

"We should go and talk to her," said Andrew

"No she needs to be alone, she also needs a girl with her," said Kiera

"I could talk to her," said Jake in between bites

"You just tried," said Andrew

"I could try again," said Jake

Kiera looked at him "Maybe,"

"WHAT?!" said Andrew and Chandler

"You tell him maybe but tell us No?!" 

"Sit down!" yelled Kiera

Jake arrives at Amanda's home

He knocks and she opens

"Jake? Hi."

"Hi. Can I come in?"

She sniffs "Yeah okay,"

"Nice place,"

"Thanks. I forgot you've never been here."

He shrugs "It's cool"

Amanda sits on the couch, she pulls her robe tighter to herself

Jake sits by her 

"You can talk to me. You know I'm not really good with words. I've always been better at listening,"

Amanda smiles "Thanks Jake but you wouldn't understand."

He put his hand on her knee and smiles at Amanda "Try me,"

Amanda breathed in and out 

"When Jess worked at Applebee's...Dylan's brother was working there. Dylan's brother told Dylan about Jess and said he should come in one day and maybe ask her on a date. When he came in, it was the day she quit her job. Jess is good friends with Dylan's brother and well, he told Dylan that Jess works at the Parlor, and...basically he wants to ask Jess on a date. In other words move on from me..."

Jake nodded "You know..Dylan. Dylan's missing out."

Amanda sniffed "But Jess is our friend,"

"Yeah but. He's missing out. Your fun, and nice, and funny."

Amanda smiled "really?"

"Really,"

Jake and Amanda are close. They are gazing into each other's eyes.

A door bell rings

Amanda gets up, Kiera is standing holding bags

"I'm here! I come bearing movies and junk food,"

Amanda looks back at Jake

Jake is standing "It's cool, I was just leaving,"

Kiera steps in and goes straight to the kitchen. 

Jake and Amanda step outside. 

Amanda closes the door

"Thanks for coming. I really...appericate it. You're a good friend,"

Jake nods and walks off.

Amanda stares and leans against the door, and turns around and goes back in.

Chandler and Andrew's apartment

Chandler and Andrew are playing ping pong

Jake comes in

"Hey jake!" says Chandler

"hey Chandler..."

"Sorry dude, this is a seriously intense game going on,"

Jake walks to the ping pong table. 

He grabs the ping pong ball 

"Dude!" they yell

"Hey! I have I have...look can you listen for two minutes?"

Jake goes to the living room

"Jake what's up?" says Andrew

"Yeah and hurry up I was winning"

"It's Amanda,"

"Oh hey you ever figure out what her problem was?"

"That guy Dylan, he wants to ask out Jess,"

"Big deal," says Chandler

Andrew eblows Chandler. Chandler makes a face "What is today 'Let's all abuse Chandler day'?"

"Anyway," says Jake

"Before I left her home, I. We..had a...moment..."

Chandler's eyes got big "A moment?"

"A moment?" asks Andrew

Jake nods "But then Kiera knocked on the door,"

Chandler laughs "Ha! That is so like her! Kiera ruins everything!"

"What should I do?"

"Well...do you like her?" asked Andrew

"Kinda. Yeah."

"Well I dunno know, man. It's...it's your call."

Jake shrugged

"Look think it over. If you really want to do something about it. Do something. But I'd suggest to just cool with the flow right now."

Jake nodded

Amanda's apartment

Kiera is putting on a movie and chewing a brownie

"So what was Jake doing here?"

Amanda was fixing a pillow "Oh he just came to see how I was doing is all,"

"Hmph,"

"What?"

"Nothin'"

Kiera sat down on the couch.

"Ya know. I think he likes you"

"Who Jake?"

"Mm-hmm,"

"No. We're just friends."

"Alright. You just keep telling yourself that."

Amanda sits down and starts chewing on a pretzel

the opening credits of the movie begin

"Maybe I like him," said Amanda

Kiera kept her eyes on the screen and squeezed Amanda's hand tightly. 

"What do I do?"

"Let him go to you. Or just go the flow," Kiera bites into a Twizzler.

Amanda nods to this.

Ok it flowed well, again some typos/errors in syntax. I wanted to read but I think a little more characterisation/description of the cast would be good. Eg Amanda runs her fingers through her long blonde hair, Jake stands up to his full 6' 5". I felt this could be a young persons soap rather than a classic.

Thank you for reading and reviewing much appericated it however I try not to describe anything for a reason. I don't want it to be a...book. For me personally if i try to be a descriptive person, this "Show" will turn into Book, and I don't want that, and then I won't have the motivation to write anymore. I'm doing this to have fun, not to really be professional for it. And I don't want this to be a soap. A soap means Drama. Yes this show will have a little drama, but honestly I'd rather this be a "classic" then a Soap anyday. But thank you kindly again for reading this and reviewing it

i just liked how it went, it caught my attention. Having it as a play is actually really neat! the title caught my attention at first. xD but when your writing a play, you dont need the quotation marks

Awesome! I'll be honest...I couldn't tell what this was suppose to be. I got confused when I saw Screenplay or Stage Play, I wasn't sure. But I think Screenplay would be more apprioate.
