Mountains

Mountains

A Poem by Isabella Cezanne
"

A poem about life

"
I like to think
that mountains
are like jagged scars
on the earth's
surface.

And they so much
resemble
the marks we put
on our own skin
with the rusted knife
from our
father's
kitchen
drawers.

So, if the earth
is hurting so profoundly,
does that mean
we
are
hurting
too?

Not great at poetry so bear with me. Just writing what I feel.

You are welcome.
I think we are all in this together, so the answer may be yes. Great analogy and beautiful piece. Loved it!
