Here you are

You’ve come at last

To erase my scar

To undo the past

 

Is that possible?

The damage is done

Such merry, happy thoughts might be plausible

You had me won

 

But now is not the time

To convince me I need you

So sing me your rhyme

Begin anew  

 

Rise from the ashes

As your wind meets my fire  

And out forces bring endless clashes

And the flames grow higher        

 

A match made in heaven

Or so it would seem     

Anything but benevolent

What could it mean?

 

I’m done

I’m through

It’s back to square one

When I’m not over you

 

Years soon pass

Then you come by

Nothings changed – we could never last

You say you want to be mine

 

So here you are

You’ve come at last

You see my scar

Reminds you of our past

 

But don’t be surprised

When I tell you this

I’ll end our demise

With one last kiss

 

And I whisper in your ear

“I’m over you

My dear…”

That, is beautiful. I loved that line SO much. it fit so well, flowed easily, with a great ring to it. Nice rhyme. Oh how I loved this. So raw with emotion and straight from the heart.
