Something's Not Right

this is the first of my recovered poems i wrote a few weeks ago somethings not right hope

Through my eyes I see your soul
The truth, lies and deception
Through it all, an endless lull
Of fairytale lands, and extreme perfection

I wish to know more
But you deny me
Have me torn
Won’t let me be

Something’s not right
This can’t be real, it’s not true
And in my mind
I see you in every color, every shade and every hue

Spoils of black, white and brown grace the pages
Dotting your life, ranged from fading to clear
Then there is gray
The color I hold most dear

Everyone lies
Everyone cheats
You are the spy
And I am the meat

But the difference between us
Is almost nothing at all
Almost

Because I try to do what’s right
And you continue to fall

You want power
Won’t let me go
I share your desire
But I can

Say no
