Here I lie

Here I lie

A Poem by CD

Every voice I hear is a scream or a whisper

They crash and collide with one another

I throw myself into the back of the room

So no can see me or touch my marred skin

The words are an anchor in my heart

That drives me deeper still into the ground below

Every thought, every feeling slowly dies and will corrode

Till a mountain of ashes and suffocating dust remains

And here I lie

You speak a word, and it hangs as a bough above me

Fire and Ice meet and one overcomes creating a sea

Your mouth breathes a dragons hot, sweet breath

Still I remain;knowing this will happen again

You tenderly stroke my face and let the blood dye your hands

My lips kiss your fingers and I taste the the pain

Earth is but a memory as you pull close in your arms

Time fades the night into a new dawn

And here I lie
