My Ghost

My Ghost

A Poem by CD

My ghost is immortal

I will long be gone

And still she haunts
Yet no fear remains in her stay

She follows the lonley

In her obscure way

My ghost is faithful

Never traversing where unwelcomed

She knows her own

She follows where the fateful wind has blown

In each direction

She finds a home

My ghost is stunning

A whisp of breath

Yet, a form to behold

They will take in her rare beauty

And watch destiny unfold

My ghost is lonely

She moans for comfort

Only to be mistaken for wind in the night

Her only reply is the thunder above

And she cries ghostly tears

White drops of souls past lived

They fall and dissapear

My ghost is here

She's haunting in the corners

On the stair

She sits in a woeful heap

Watching,humming a ghostly tune

In the chaos no one cares

My ghost never far

My ghost lingers near

Wishing no fear

For the doubting the disbelieving

The mortal ones

It's only the truth she laments

My ghost follows whispers and cries

But this my ghost knows

She is destined

To be alone
