DeceitA Poem by CDDedicated to....well you should know who you are.I can see you watching me from afar I know you don't think I know who you are You think your mask hides the face of deceit You think your cloak hides the knife beneath You pretend not to hear my cry of pain As you stab me in the back again
The night will not brighten while you're here Morning will not come,as your prescence brings fear Your lies grow stale and I can plainly see My trust belongs with no one...no one but me Your gloved hands still show fingerprints in the dust While you're hunting with an arsenal of lies for my trust
How long will you crawl on the floor searching For the dirt and grime that only causes hurting? Your black eyes portray selfishness and greed Always telling what wants to be heard and you feed On the false statements you maliciously devour You stash away countless vilifications for your helpless hours
You use, steal, and spread whatever I say People fall and are crushed into the ground and you simply walk away With your mask, cloak, and gloves you move on To destroy yet another who used to be strong Friends dissapear and you lie in a cold, lonely world Someday you will weep for the love and trsut you so brutally killed
Today you hide in the darkness and shadows You run away from the truth and the hope that follows You refuse to open your jaded eyes tot he life that could be Instead you hold tight to your knife and look for a heart trusting innocently One day you will awake and your blade will be gone People will see you and they will run You will find yourself so very....alone.
