A Poem by CD

My feet are sinking through the floor

So slowly

In the distance I see a door

It's opening

I know it's name I've seen it before

So unfriendly

There when I fell and my skin tore

Then bleeding

Just a scratch it needed more

Of me

Turning far away I was so sure

It's ending

Walking a path I thought pure

And easy

A wall of the most ominous stature

Stood taunting

A hole nearby is like a lure

So appealing

My life is painted like a picture

For critiquing

A heart grown faded drom exposure

Is weary

Breath always hot down my neck and shoulder

Still closing

It reaches deeper,presses further

No running

Trapped in a place of endless torture

A destiny

Pitch black is the color of the future

It's lurking

There is no truth in forever

I'm leaving
