ComplaintA Poem by CD
Wearing,wearing,wearing...tearing away at my heart's very being
Where is he?She cannot express how she is feeling The pain is too much, the tears are too frequent Where is the joy?How can this be..constant Lament Hope is wearing thin like the heart's stamina It becomes almost unbearable as the weeks and months pass When, when, when, when. She stares, and nothing comes to mind Except a picture of him, this isn't the first time She has envisioned his smile, imagined his laugh But with each passing day she wonders how long she can wear this mask Of nonchalance and being alright,as the tears stream down her face She doesn't stop them for they attempt to ease the pain Oh When When When When If this is a glimpse of how the next few years will pass by She thinks it would be better to simply die © 2009 CDAuthor's Note
