Train Whistle's Song

Train Whistle's Song

A Poem by CD

Dark nights and the train whistle blows
Again,again it's song rings clear-
"Come aboard,I'll take you where you want to go,
Young traveller,why remain here,
When you may ride these rails to unknown lands?
Far away, from those pressures those cares
Come frolick,and run and dance
Through my adventures,my life I will share
Starry nights,whispery winds,and true romance
Come aboard,come aboard
To Austria,New Zealand,and France.

Sweet one,O Traveller who dreams
Wake up!Look,listen,and see
I am here,no need to lie there and fancy
Spend your days finding relics and treasures
The Maker invites you to feast ever so simply
On his marvelous works and divine wonders
So come, let the unseen become known
The rare diamonds and jewels will sparkle
As will the seashells and sandstone
Walk along or stand and gaze
Everywhere I take you remember it always
The song I sing will become faint as I leave
But I'll come again and revive our grand journeys!"

This song I hear all through the night
Islands,exotic
Castles,unreal
Europe,historic
Arctic,still
I lay tossing and turning, restless for more
Abroad and afar is where I belong
This in mind I drift off in slumber
Heeding to the call of the train whistle's song.
