Deceitful Love

Deceitful Love

A Poem by CD

"Deceitful Love"

She love's too much,for a soft heart

The ache inside never goes away

If she keeps going on she'll fall apart

Like a flower in the wind she will sway

Until she is a broken forever

Never to laugh,never to smile

Always to cry,Always to tremble

At the thought of love...

Chorus:Bring her back to a world of true love

Bring her back to how it was meant to be

A vision of hearts and flowers

Don't let all the joy be ours

Don't let her slip away again

Into the lies and the shame

            Of her broken love

******************************

Chances are gone,defeat has won

They all push and tell her to move on

Can't they see,don't they know?

Why she holds on and can't let go

She can't accept,can't reject

Can't turn him away but he won't stay

She will live in empty love for all her days

Because of one night filled with shallow promises

Blinded by this deceitful love...

************************

Sitting in a dark corner

There is no one to hold her

To quiet her tears,to comfort her fears

Will she never be loved again?

She thinks of the ways she could bring the hurt to an end

A bright light and a gentle voice

Questions her harsh choice...

*********************

A new love fills her

No longer the lies

No longer the shame

She is loved again

Finally realizing she had been deceived

She chooses to believe in what cannot be seen...
