And the Fairies Shall Dance

And the Fairies Shall Dance

A Poem by CD

Across the winds, and through the breeze

I hear the sound

In the stillness,in the calm

I can hear them

Away from this world, out of balance

I listen closely

And the fairies shall dance

Across the fields, and through the trees

I hear the sound

As mystical notions swirl

I can hear them still

A moon so full it whispers romance

I listen closely

And the fairies shall dance

Across the pond, and through the branches who sway

I see the glittering wings

As reality fades away

I can see them

I look through a dreams strong substance

I watch intently

And the fairies shall dance

Across the bridge, and through the brush

I feel the music in the air

As I near I fear a hush

I can sense them

And for a fleeting moment they sense what they abhore

I step back but 'tis too late

And the fairies shall dance no more.
