Bad Year

A poem about the year 2008.

It's been a bad year

For both man and beast

 

Hurricanes and wind storms

Poverty and death

Young dogs dying

Before the age of one

People losing homes

Because they don't have money.

People getting hurt or killed

By things they can not control

And even people killing themselves

Becuase this year was to tough

 

It's been a bad year

For both man and beast

 

Every one is equal

In their pain

No man is greater

Or richer than the next

Even icons and legends

Have fallen at death's feet

The legends of entertainment,

Song, and show

From the one who smiled an evil joker smile

To the one who made a fantasy game of dice

 

It's been a bad year

For both man and beast

And if you don't believe me

Check your wallet

For the money that isn' there

his is very thoughtful and witty,yes this is a very bad year,but the year before and before...was it better,yes hurricane poverty ,death ,death after death led to poverty ,people get hurt or killed ,or people killing themselves,surely it was a bad year and bad life we live ,and just as bad world we see
