Haiku... My Connection to Nature

 

Silently I wait

Sitting under dark green trees

For you to meet me

Green, brown, and yellow

Falling to the cool fall ground

As the children play

Watch the waves crashing

Up onto the young girl’s feet

While she runs along

Beautiful colors

Of orange, yellow, and green

But the world can’t see

Little boys and girls

Playing in the warm sunshine

And they smile wide

Silent winds blowing

Through the desolate, dry land

After the cruel storm

They walk holding hands

And feel the love surround them

While the snow comes down
