Trusting in the Future

future (n)- The indefinite time yet to come.

Someday soon we'll be moving on

From the life we know right now

No longer will we have the same worries

Or have to think about the same things

We'll find more friends in new places

And we'll forget about some of our older ones

But that's okay because we know it will happen

We'll be prepared for the future to come

Maybe we might find new loves

After we've lost some along the way

Because someday is coming fast

And we can't stop it from coming

We can't stop time and hold onto yesterday

It just doesn't work that way

God has a course all mapped out for us

And we must follow it

There's no need to worry about which way to go

We just need to follow the map

And let is guide us to a new place

Away from a past we used to know

We don't have a say in which peope we lose

Or who's going to leave our lives forever

We just have to hope and pray that everything will turn out okay

Because one way or another everything will change

It will either happen fast or slow

We may notice or it will go by too quickly

All we have to do is trust in the future we are given

And move on
